Voltage Drop and Maximum Chain Length

One of the most common concerns with 12V systems is voltage drop over long runs. Each module model specifies a maximum number of units per chain — typically between 20 and 40 modules when fed from one end, and up to double when fed from both ends. Keeping within these limits ensures uniform brightness across the entire installation.

For runs exceeding 5 linear metres, we recommend evaluating our 24V LED modules, which allow longer chains with significantly less voltage drop.

What is the maximum number of 12V modules I can connect in series? It depends on the model. Our datasheets specify the exact limit: typically 20-40 modules from one end and up to 60-80 from both ends. Exceeding this causes uneven brightness at the end of the chain.
