160º-175º optics are wide-angle and mount behind the face to light flat cabinets. The 38x56º optic is asymmetrical and directional: it mounts on the side frame and projects light toward the center — essential for blade signs and double-sided displays where light must travel across the cabinet interior.
How many 38x56º modules do I need per meter of blade sign?
Rule of thumb: 1.44W module every 10-12 cm for signs up to 15 cm depth; 2.1W (220V) module every 15-18 cm; CREE 6W module every 25-30 cm for XL blade signs.
Can I mix different 12V wattages on the same power supply?
Yes, as long as the driver covers the total wattage with 20% headroom. Being all 12V DC, 1.44W and 6W modules can share the same run. 220V modules are wired independently, no driver needed.
Is the 220V module more dangerous to install?
It must be wired by a qualified electrician per local electrical code. In return it removes the driver (fewer failure points) and simplifies maintenance. All our 220V modules are IP65 with double insulation.
