| LED Strip 180 LEDs/mt IP20 24V 19W/mt | WLED-9695 | 18.50 € | In stock |
20W+/m LED strips deliver the highest light output in the GP Trader range: 2400-3200 lm/m versus 1200-1600 lm/m for 12-18W strips. They are the professional choice when the strip must be the primary light source, not decorative: warehouses, retail, shop windows, cold rooms and fluorescent replacement.
When to choose a 20W+/m LED strip
- Functional lighting: replacing fluorescent tubes or downlights, not complementing them.
- Mounting height >3 m: more lumens per metre are required to reach the working plane.
- Retail and shop windows: bright surfaces demanding ≥800 lux in the display area.
- Technical applications: cold rooms, workshops, garages, greenhouses.

Heat dissipation: the critical factor
Above 20W/m an aluminium profile is mandatory. Without proper heat sinking the junction temperature exceeds 85°C and lifetime drops from 50,000 to under 15,000 hours. GP Trader recommends recessed or surface profile with opal diffuser along the whole run.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many lumens per metre do I need to light a warehouse?
At 4-5 m height with a white ceiling, 2500-3000 lm/m installed in a continuous line covers a 3-4 m wide working area at ~500 lux.
Can I use a 20W+/m strip without an aluminium profile?
Not recommended. Without a profile the temperature exceeds 80°C, thermal derating kicks in and the warranty is voided. The profile acts as a heatsink and multiplies lifetime by 3-4.
What is the maximum continuous run length?
With 24V supply and standard 2 oz copper, 3-5 m maximum. For longer runs feed from both ends or from the mid-point to keep voltage drop <3%.
Which power supply do I need?
Multiply W/m by length and apply a 1.25 safety factor. Example: 25W/m × 4 m = 100W → choose a 24V/150W supply. We recommend Meanwell HLG or LPV IP67 for professional installations.
Are they available in RGB or only in white?
At this power level, warm (3000K), neutral (4000K) and cool white (6000K) dominate. RGB/RGBW variants exist up to ~20W/m; for higher output multiple channels or addressable digital strips are used.
