Green LED Strips

Green LED strips bring a botanical, calming ambiance that no other colour can match. Operating at wavelengths between 520 and 535 nm — the peak sensitivity range of the human eye — they deliver striking visual impact while keeping energy consumption remarkably low. At GP Trader we source binned SMD 2835 and 5050 chips to ensure perfect colour consistency across every reel.

Where Green LED Strips Excel

Green light is surprisingly versatile once you look beyond the obvious. Designers and installers across Europe choose it for projects that demand a connection with nature, wellness or safety.

Technical Performance and Range

We stock 60 and 120 LED/m densities in both 12 V and 24 V formats. The 24 V variants support runs of up to 10 metres with no perceptible voltage drop — essential for continuous linear features like cornices, display shelving or indoor pool perimeters.

Every strip ships with 3M VHB adhesive for reliable bonding. For humid environments such as bathrooms, covered terraces or ornamental fountains, our IP65 versions use injected silicone encapsulation that shields the circuit against condensation and splashes.

CRI sits around 70, which is optimal for monochromatic decorative lighting. When a project calls for colour transitions, these strips pair seamlessly with our RGB LED strips controlled via DMX or Wi-Fi.

Installation and Compatibility

We recommend mounting on aluminium profile whenever the strip will run for more than eight hours a day. The heatsink extends LED lifespan and improves thermal uniformity. Each strip can be cut every 5 cm (12 V) or 10 cm (24 V) without special tools.

To power your installation, browse our LED power supplies and add a 20 % headroom above the strip's nominal wattage.

Frequently Asked Questions

What wavelength do green LED strips emit? Our green strips operate between 520 and 535 nm, the range where the human eye is most sensitive, ensuring high visibility at low power draw. Can I install green LED strips in a bathroom? Yes. Choose IP65-rated models for wet areas. Mount them inside an aluminium profile with a diffuser to prevent direct water contact and ensure proper heat dissipation. What is the difference between 12 V and 24 V green strips? 24 V strips support longer single runs (up to 10 m) without brightness loss, reducing the number of power supplies needed. 12 V strips offer more frequent cut points every 5 cm. Can green strips be combined with other colours? Not on the same monochromatic strip. For multi-colour effects, use RGB or RGBW strips that integrate green, red and blue chips in each segment, controllable via remote or app. If you need a monochromatic strip with alternating colours, check out our Custom-Made LED Strips section. How long do GP Trader green LED strips last? With correct installation on aluminium profile and a properly sized driver, expected lifespan exceeds 50 000 hours — over 11 years at 12 hours of daily use.
