1-channel constant-current DMX512 RDM decoder 250-3000 mA
The D1C-E is a constant current dmx512 rdm decoder with 1 channel that converts the DMX512 signal into adjustable constant current of 250-3000 mA. It is designed for LED luminaires that need current drive (downlights, spotlights and power optics) rather than constant-voltage LED strip.
Key features
- 1 adjustable constant-current channel of 250-3000 mA
- Output current adjustable by dip switch or from the RDM console
- 12-48V DC supply and 0-100% flicker-free dimming
- IP20 rating, CE and RoHS certified
- 3 years GP Trader warranty and EU VAT invoice
Compatibility and protocols
It complies with DMX512, DMX512(1990), DMX512-A, RDM V1.0 (E1.20-2006 ESTA), so it works with any DMX desk, master or software on the market. RDM compatibility lets you read and change the address remotely from the console, without physically reaching the unit.
Installation and wiring
The DMX bus is wired in a daisy chain using 120-ohm shielded twisted-pair cable. Terminate the end of the line with a 120-ohm resistor and keep each segment under 300 metres; for longer runs or more than 32 receivers, insert a DMX signal amplifier.
Recommended applications
Architectural and façade lighting, retail and window displays, hospitality, museums, illuminated signage, stage and studio lighting, and professional building-automation projects governed by DMX512.
